STEP importing into wireframe

Pioneer

Hi everyone, my issue today is that I am importing a STEP file into SE (choosing assembly as template) and it works, but the parts imported are shown as a wireframe. Even when the shaded with edges option is chosen, cause I never touched that. You can see it in the picture.

Is there some reason why this happens? Any way to fix it? Thanks.

I'm not certain what's going on. Maybe someone else knows. In the meantime if you could upload just one of the parts, not the assembly, but a small part which is in the assembly, that might give a clue.

Sure, done. I attached a small part in the first post.

The parts have no color. Use part painter to add color to the parts.

edit: by the way, they also have no assigned material which means your templates also do not. So assigning a material will also add color.

Yeah well, you can see where I'm coming from. First week with SE.

Thanks...

@-Axel-   don't feel bad,  I've ran SE for almost 20 years now and I would never have thought of that!!!

Way to go @bshand
