Save As .DFT Causes SE2D ST8 to Crash

I encountered an error when trying to use the save as option on an already created .dft file that I created. I get the same error message and crash if I open a NEW file and try to Save As <file name>.dft. If I use the 'Save As' option and opt for DWG or DXF the save works.

The crash log that is created when the crash ocurrs is abbreviated and appended below. I have attached the entire crashlogf.txt to this post.

Possibly graphics related.  Make sure Windows is patched current and you have the latest graphics card driver.

The crash is occurring in a printer driver on your machine. Solid Edge uses functions of your current printer to write viewer data to the draft file when it is saved. You can turn off saving this viewer data by going to Solid Edge Options - General Tab. In the upper right on that tab, uncheck 'Include Draft Viewer data in file'. This should stop Solid Edge from accessing the printer driver during file save and should resolve the save issue.

Re: Save As .DFT Causes SE2D ST8 to Crash

Worked like a charm.

What does that effect? The preview of the 2D model when the file name is selected?

Re: Save As .DFT Causes SE2D ST8 to Crash

IT guy updated the Networked printer driver and once I updated locally I was able to re-enable the 'Include Draft Viewer data in file' and the Save and Save As both work.
