Dear SE users,
we have some problems with translating draft drawings into DWG and DXF format. Allmost every translation it crashes.
I have cross checked every setting in the SEACAD.ini and settings of the SEACAD.ini location.
For some reason it was changed into the roaming location in the user location...
The problem started with MP4 for ST7.
Are there users that have the same problem?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sorry but I haven't seen this issue. However I only save to DFX with version 2007. So you may want to try opening options when saving and see which release you're saving to.
thank you for the reply.
We have tried to save it as DXF and DWG, versions 2000 and 2007. All crash.
It is not only me but all my colleagues have the same problem.
Is it possible that you could send me your SEACAD settings?
I've had this problem with a previous version. It wouldn't do PDF's either! The solution was we completely uninstalled SE and reinstalled it. I guess something went wrong in the first install.
Not a first choice, but if all else fails....
If the case has worsened to the extent that a re-installation seems to be the last resort, repairing the Solid Edge part of registry can probably get it working.
In case you decide to, reset the HKEY_CURRENT_USER Solid Edge registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge
Simple delete this and restart SE
Not sure if any DWG export settings are stored in the registry, this is just a guess.
You could try enabling logging on the options dialog before you Save As.
The log may contain a clue.
