Saving Part as an STL

N/A

I tried to save a part as an STL file in order to make it on a 3D printer. A log file and a certificate, but no STL file. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi there,
Just a hunch, but, might your model be open surface data?
Also, have you read the contents of the log file?...it may indicate the issue in there.

Make sure you turn off the Windows Explorer option "Hide file extensions for known file types". The file listed as the "certificate" is the STL file.

Haha, yes that is a common issue, even for some long time users, such as myself.
BTW....if you haven't discovered it yet, there is a NEW open forum for Solid Edge now.
