Search by tittle (Windows explorer)

My team has installed fast search and indexed the correct folder. But for some reason some of us can search by description and the other can't. I guess we are doing something wrong with the set up but we don't know what it is exactly.

I attach the picture we would like to set up on all the computers. Any idea about what it is?

Kind regards,

Hi @Jaume91

what I only can see is a general text search for the text "sensor" but not within any spcific property field.

The results seem to be in title field.

Have all users defined there fast search setup correctly?
You have to do that in SE options.

Is the folder structure stored on network server?
Then You must use UNC path rather than mapped drives.

Wolfgang

The folder structure is on the network so the configuration in solid edge is linked to that folder.Captura.JPG

I have no idea about how to fix nor if it's a Windows setup or a SE one problem

Hi @Jaume91

so as asked before:
How do You access the network files?
As UNC path or as a mapped drive (sSmiley Happy?

Drives are not supporting index!

@Jaume91  If you are searching for strings in the Title property in Windows File Explorer, then there is nothing in regards to Solid Edge BiDM at play here.  Windows will index by default all common properties of files located in an indexed location which is set in the Windows Indexing Options.  If you have this set on the server (has to be a Windows server) and each user is referencing the server via a UNC path and their Windows Search service is running (check in Services), it should work.  To force a Title search with Windows Search, type "Title:" without the quotes in the search field.  If Windows Search is working, as soon as you do it should turn to blue text as shown below.
