How can I set section arrows to different lengths as shown?

Submit an ER to Siemens and wait...

You can't.  My guess is that Solid Edge is adhering to documentation standards such as ANSI, BSI, ISO, etc...

You sort-of can do it. You need to go into "Draw in View" and manually draw the lines as yo want them to show, then (or first) hide the real section view lines. It would be tedious, and could lead to mistakes later, but if you really need it to look like that...

Yeah, you could, but you won't win any beauty contests. Smiley Happy

Thanks for the feedback. I read through ASME Y14.3, Multiview and Sectional View Drawings, and did not see anything stating that the arrow lengths need to be equal. I also checked the IHS Drawing Requirements Manual and didn't see anything in there. I know that other CAD packages such as Autodesk Inventor and Creo allow the section arrows to have different lengths which is convenient when trying to work around other drawing geometry or dimensions. I will submit an ER.
