I'm using ST8, and so far I haven't met this problem.
I just freshly created a view of an assembly, and wanted to make a broken out section view, but some parts are not hatched/filled. See the attached picture.
Anybody knows what is wrong with SE? Or with the model?
Is this a bug?
without having Your ASM available inspect it, the first issue to analyse when such wrong view are coming up, is, to look wether there are collisions in the asm.
SE is generating wrong views if there are collisions.
They can either result out of a wrong design or due to thread connections like bolts and nuts and so on.
If this is the case then try to change the settings for the view
Go to RMB View - Properties - Enhanced Properties
Change the option to "Calculate Threads" or even to "ALL" if threads only brings no better result.
I have also frequently had this problem in ST7 when setting a view depth on a section view.
The problem is it isn't always the same parts, or all parts.
do You have parts within this ASM which came from any part server?
Trace Parts, etc.?
Any standard parts which You didn't made Yourself?
This also might be an issue.
Hide those parts and try again, wether to see if these are the reasons.
And run a "Geometry Optimize" on all of Your parts, to imporve the geometry quality of them.
Finally only the ASm uploaded here, can give us the chance for further analysis
@hawcad - Been a while since I was working on those drawings, but from what I remember there were no imported parts.
It isn't possible to upload the drawings & assemblies as they are far too big.
I'm just starting another batch of drawings so will see how they go and post again if I get the problem.
