Yeah, I downloaded the 45 day ST10 course. I am based in the UK but for some reason I am connected to the server in California which makes using the software slow bordering on unuseable. How can I resolve this problem?
@RJD I don't know much about using the cloud hosted evaluation, but is there an option to download it? If so, that's what I would suggest.
this makes me a little surprising.
I thought the 45 days trial version wil be downloaded (installation image) will be installed and YOu will recieve a license with an appropriate time stamp in it.
So after installing it correctly, I supposed that there is no need for an online connection to use it.
Maybe this should be confirmed
as I like to say:
"It's never to late for learning something new!"
I did not know that there is a streaming version too.
After let us know this, is this an option for standard SE licenses too?
So can one convert a e.g. floating or node locked license to such a streaming one?
@hawcad the streaming Solid Edge is currently only available for 45-day trials. There is not a purchasable streaming Solid Edge option available at this time.
You should be able to sign up for a 45-day trial and give it a try if you're interested in "pushing the buttons".
I have now tried both options (download and streaming). The streamed version is served by a Californian server, which is useable but you lose the tutorial pane. So unless you memorise the lesson......
The download version is the one which is painfully slow but, you do get to keep the tutorial pane so you can read along as you learn.
