Sheet Metal Bending Question

Hello,

I'm trying to bend a piece of sheet metal in the Ordered mode, but when I do so the flanges attached to it are deleted. How would I bend the metal while maintaining the flanges (two trapezoids on top) so that it makes an "L" shape (bending it 90 degrees so that the triangle in between the trapezoids disappears)? I'm bending the piece about the x-axis in the attached picture. Thanks,

Aviv

Hi @Aviv

I kindly would suggest to do it with two Contour Flange features.

Hi @Aviv

of course it is working with Your method too, but IMHO it takes more steps to come to the same result.

The extra flange material was not bending along with the rest of the metal because I created the part in the "synchronous" environment, and then applied "bend" in ordered mode. Your videos were very insightful for me. Thanks!
