Simulation Express problem

Hi there,

I want to place my model in Simulation Express. I'm at the point to select a material, selected it but can't proceed. The green check button is greyed out.

What can I do to still proceed?

I doesn't matter if the part copy is linked, broken with no optimize and broken with optimize.

According to your image, you didn't select the material yet.

The menu right to the 'Select:' doesn't show any material. Pick the material from this menu (or click on Materail button), and the green check button should be active.

Re: Simulation Express problem

Hmm, I have selected the material with the Materials button.
However, the pull down menu is empty.

I have the same problem since I installed SP2 ST7.

I have just installed mp02 and experienced the same problem as you. It worked just fine before the installation of this maintenance pack.

And it is already reported as PR7232099.

Unfortunatelly, we can only wait for new mp or instal SE without mp02.

Re: Simulation Express problem

I had this problem with MP01. But thanks for the PR No.

Re: Simulation Express problem

Hi there, any news? Is it going to be fixed in MP3?

Looking in the DB, the fix has been checked in. There is always a very small possibility of something going awry in testing or what not, but this fix appears destined for MP3.

Related question -- I always think of Simulation Express as a bit of a "marketing hype" since it is quite limited in its capabilities. Are folks using it in production for good purposes? Speak up if so -- what type of problem do you solve with it?

Thanks.
