Simulation of frame based on curves

Hi,

I would like to run simulation in Solid Edge of frame which is odd - not only linear but curved beams. I created 3D curve in part, somehow transformed into sketch. In assembly I can make a frame on it, but within simulation beam curves are not generated on this 3D curve.

I want to be sure of limitation that beam curves can be generated only on lines or arcs, but not on 3D curves.

Or is it possible to run simulation of 3D curved beam?

I run such analysis in NX and it works.

Juraj,

a Simulation study on curved Frames is possible.

If not possible on your model maybe contact your local support.

Good luck /Ulf

Hi,

Simulation doesn't support curves (splines) to analyzing.

Yes, if based on b-spline Curves that is true. Lines & Arcs was what I used.
