So exactly that is the reason why I extract them manually once and use those folder structures later as often as needed.
This saves the extraction time for every use.
But maybe I'm wrong with that.
I exactly do the same, we do have 8 PC to setup and would be time consuming to extract every time.
If you installed Solid Edge 2019 from 2019/Media DVD/Solid_Edge_DVD_<language>_2019.exe, then MP1 installs fine.
If you installed via 2019/Solid_Edge_2019.exe, the MP1 install will fail.
You will need to remove Solid Edge 2019 and install 2019/Media DVD/Solid_Edge_DVD_<language>_2019.exe and the MP1 will install fine.
Well, I'm still confused.
1) I don't see a file named "Solid_Edge_2019.exe" on the download page. Has it been removed?
2) What is the best way to install?
a) Running the self extracting "Solid_Edge_DVD_<language>_2019.exe"
b) Extracting "Solid_Edge_DVD_<language>_2019.exe" to show all the dvd folders and then running from
DVD\Solid Edge\setup.exe or Siemens Solid Edge 2019.msi.
@bshand "Solid_Edge_2019.exe" was removed because it created a corrupt intall of SE 2019 that could not be patched.
The solution was to uninstall and use "Solid_Edge_DVD_<language>_2019.exe".
It doesn't matter whether you run the download or use a ZIP tool to extract it to a folder, they both will do the samething when performing an install.
We work in a school and have deployed ST10 in many computers.
In case we need to change the version, which should be the scenario?
1) The best one. Is possible that both versions work well together? Any doc about it? Any doc about instaling silently 2019?
2) If it's not possible that both of them work well together. Is there any doc about silent uninstalation of the complete ST10 version, and then a silent instalation of the newer version?
Thanks in advance. Have a good day
