It is with great pleasure that I announce the release of Solid Edge 2020!! Solid Edge 2020 is another multilingual release – it includes all 14 languages. Additional Solid Edge 2020 Portfolio products will continue to release over the coming weeks.
Solid Edge 2020 (220.00.00.104) will be available for download later next week once all customer license files are available. Look for the traditional Software Field Bulletin (SFB) announcing its availability for download later next week. We are also actively working to update all other Solid Edge 2020 downloads (i.e. Academic, Trial, Free 2D, Solid Edge Viewer, and so forth), starting later next week.
Like Solid Edge ST10 and 2019, Solid Edge 2020 is download-only. DVDs can be requested by emailing email@example.com, including your customer install number in the email text and “Solid Edge V220” as the email subject.

No worries. IT will be working to revise the many product ids in SAP today from Solid Edge 2019 to Solid Edge 2020. Once this happens, SAP will email customers their new Solid Edge 2020 license files by zone. Then we will post Solid Edge 220.00.00.104 for download on the GTAC site.
Simultaneously, we are working to get the various free product download sites updated to Solid Edge 2020. This include Solid Edge Free 2D, Free Viewer, Academic, and so forth. These products are all built with 220.00.00.104 and tested. We're just working with other teams to get them updated.
We are as anxious as you to get Solid Edge 2020 to our customers, and we are focused on this. :-)
Have a great day,
@LauraWatson You would think with several months notice and a tentative release time frame, the sales/marketing/accounting teams would have all their stuff ready to go and be able to switch over with the push of a button on the weekend...
@KennyG To be fair they could have done this all under the radar and in a couple of weeks time just 'pushed the button', and only then tell us what's going on, so at least they're being open and giving us information on the rollout.
@Alex_H @bshand All I'm saying is that something like licensing could have been all set up last month as everybody knew SE 2020 was releasing this month or beginning of next... Why wait until SE 2020 is actually released to start generating licenses? It just makes it look like somebody got surprised by a new software release...
