Solid Edge 2D - insert holes from table?

Is this possible. Can I generate holes/circles from table with X,Y coordinates and diameter?

Not out of the box.  You would have to write a program to do this. It's possible someone may have written something but I do not know of any.

Ok thank you for your reply. If anyone is interested in developing such a link for me I am willing to pay for this.

Hi @KennyG

Hi @methosmen

can not confirm this info 100%

Just did a 2D drawing only with a rectangle and 3 circles and created a hole table with exactly the same result as I assumed to get

@hawcad,  I believe @methosmen is asking for the ability to place circle geometry on a drawing by reading in a table of locations and diameters.

HI @KennyG

OK, sorry again for missunderstanding what the request is.

I have read "holes and table" and - Yeah - thought this only can be a "hole table"

What a short word can make a difference?

I have written a macro a couple of years ago, where You were able to create several circles with center coordinates from a text file (x,y).

But this only was intended to be executed from within a profile sketch in part.

It could be done, but only for a fixed number of holes like this:

Draw a sketch with a bunch of dimensions for each center and dia. Then link those dimeinsion from a spreadsheet.

I don't think there is any way to do this for a varrying amount of holes.
