I am trying to get more information on Solid Edge Portal to find out what it is and what it isn't.
Is Solid Edge portal like A360. A place to store files in the cloud and view them? or is it Solid Edge on the Cloud where you can design on the cloud without a copy of Solid Edge running on the computer?
Information is sparce as it is not released yet, but I believe it is meant to be a cloud based repository for collaborating with vendors or geographically dispersed teams by putting files into the Portal for sharing.
The following page briefly describes it:
NICE!...the viewer is very easy to use, and a reasonable level of performance & functionality.
In our network I have set up [over the last 12+ years] a folder structure for different things, depending on projects & the various business groups needs. I'm not sure how we will leverage this just yet, as just our Streetscape library items uses 32GB of space.
Is this something that will come later in development, or does the portal have to maintain a flat file structure to function?
Also, is there any indication yet, on what larger storage [1TB+] options might cost??

Solid Edge 2019 [MP2] Classic [x3 Seats - Cloud Enabled]
Windows 10 - Quadro P2000
This looks good for people who need online collaboration.
Is it 5Gb per client or per license? It looks logic if it is 5Gb for each license, no?
Not that I think we will need it, just asking.
Just uploaded a small project and it looks pretty good.
Just a couple of constructive comments, bearing in mind its a beta version.
Draft file quality is very poor - fonts not showing correctly etc.
Also you don't appear to be able to view pdf's - or have I missed something ?
