Dear Solid Edge Customer:
The latest Maintenance Pack (MP10) for Solid Edge ST5 is now available for download. Thanks for helping us make Solid Edge more productive.
The Solid Edge Team
-- Windows 8 --
Solid Edge ST6 will be the first release to support Windows 8.
Solid Edge ST5 does not support Windows 8. Any ST5 issues that are specific to
Windows 8 or IE 10 cannot be addressed until ST6.
Based on our testing, most Solid Edge operations (Part, Sheet Metal, Assembly
and Draft) work the same as on Windows 7 and Windows 8. On Windows 8, we
highly recommend installing Solid Edge ST5 to a non-default location (somewhere
other than the default Program Files folder).
In some cases, .NET 3.5 had to be manually activated to use Solid Edge Tutorials,
Insight, and Simulation Express.
Solid Edge License Utility, License Borrowing, Embedded Client, Insight XT, Web
Publisher, and Engineering Reference have known problems on Windows 8 and
will not work successfully with ST5.
-- Maintenance Pack Policy --

available up to a maximum of 15 months following the release date of the English
