While I would NOT recommend to go CAD in the cloud for anything we do.
I can see there is a place for this...especially for potential new users & more so, the academic arena. So all of a sudden Solid Edge can be "virtually" run on all platforms and almost any system spec. A huge boon for the student fraternity, if it makes it to that segment.
So while it's not for me.....I do support it's existence.

About Solid Edge STreaming:
This is very new for all and I never say that NO! This solution can be better for us, because no need to restudy the software and we can use it on a "basic" laptop with good internet speed.
This is an opportunity...
I think we need a very strong desktop version of Solid Edge. Looking forward to seeing ST8!
