I talked to some folks internally here, and it looks like it's just the flip of a switch that could make this happen for phone users. If enough people request the viewer for phones, it could get enabled so that you can make your own decision about if its too small or not.
So I guess that's your cue to start requesting.
Will somebody closer to GTAC please get en ER going on this, and share the number, so we can tack on our support for this, seemingly minor, tweak that'll make it a truely "mobile" viewer.
It would be good to have the *.apk file of the app.
While I have no idea how to go about making this function [even with their instructions]....I was alert to this link to bypass the Google Play store and download just the .apk file, if you are so inclined, to circumvent any Play restrictions for various apps.
... I will definitely check this later.
Well, I tried this utility for Chrome.
I can confirm that works for many apps but not for the Solid Edge Mobile Viewer app
My IR has been converted to ER 6925067. The reason I was given for cell phones not being initially included is that the aspect ratio of the screen on some devices caused problems with things like the help menu. Which sounds reasonable to me.
People who really want to use the mobile viewer on a cell phone should contatct GTAC or thier VAR with this ER#.
