Hello SE Experts,
I noticed some issue on solid edge assembly while using a circular pattern.
Let me explain this in detail below.
I have a part file with a hole in it. And I made a circular pattern of the hole.
The PCD and no of holes are linked with Excel.
In assembly I have imported the part file, then inserted the bolts and used assembly pattern feature to pattern the bolts along the circular pattern.
Now the problem is when I increase the number of holes it increases and then I decrease the numbers it decreases and when I increase the number again it remains the same.
I set the pattern number as 28 initially - no of bolt is 28 ok
then change the pattern number as 10 - no of bolts is 10 ok
then change the pattern number as 40- no of bolts is 22 Problem.
From this step onwards, solid edge always reflects with 18 less no of bolts
So whenever there is a decrease in pattern count, change is pattern valve is the decreased number of pattern forever.
I think it is a bug.
below is a video on it.
Hello Mr Tushar,
My model is completely created on ordered.
How can I apply SP6?
Now I haven't updated with any latest patch.
I will try out the part and assembly in ordered mode but I do not hope to see a bug so basic as this.
I will publish my findings.
You can download the Service Pack and apply using your GTAC account or contact your reseller.
What is the version of your Solid Edge.
My version is 108.00.00.091 x64
The 3rd and 4th zero in the version number indicates there is no service pack installed.
It should be 06 after installing the latest pack which is #6
I am not sure if this is exactly the reason for pattern failure but ideally you should be on the latest service pack.
Look up the the release notes for SP 6 and all earlier if this was one of the issues fixed and meanwhile I will try out the assembly with ordered parts.
Would it be possible to share the parts you used to pattern ?
I will try this out on my computer.
Dear Mr Tushar,
I have to update with MP6 then I will let you know.
Right now I don't have access to do the update.
Thank you so much for your help.
