Wolfgang,

I wasn't aware of that one, but long ago I did map out the various functions myself and put them into an easily accessible table for quick reference.

Double Clicking on the origin to align with base planes was one I didn't learn for a long time...

HI @pmckay

what exactly do You mean by "Double Click the Origin to Align to Base PLane"

This is something I didn't know and what also doesn't work here for me, but would be great if it will work so.

regards
Wolfgang

SHIFT + Double LMB sorry @hawcad

It changes alignment of the steering wheel to match the Base planes.

Hi @pmckay

thanks a lot for learning something new!

And this after so many years with Solid Edge.

But as I always say: "It is a good day if You can learn something new!"

Referring to this today becomes a good day

Thanks again

regards
Wolfgang

The ability for the steering wheel to snap onto Horizontal, Vertical would be a great enhancement and as ST10 is not out yet there is still time to add it in Smiley Very Happy

OK maybe not this time, but a feature well worth adding. Also using 'X' and 'Z' like in 3D sketching would also be helpful to maintain orientation with planes and lines and be consistant with hot keys already in use.

Moving it is easy. Half the time is already the right way, the other half of the time you have to slow down to get the donut selected, this is what I'm trying to avoid with a hot keys. With a high reolution screen, it's not a very large icon depending on how it's oriented.

@12GAGE if the steering wheel is too small for you, have you got it set to "Extra Large" ?
