Stop automatic revision numbers.

Just about every file I have ends in a -6 or - CS or something like that.

ST9 is assuming the last -"whatever" is the revision of the file.

I do have about 20 files I track revisions on. The rest I don't.

How do I stop ST9 from making that assumtion?

IDK if it's the same in ST9 but you can try changing the default rev delimiter to a period instead of a dash.

I don't see the "turn off" for revision management.

Perhaps if I use something other than a - or . so it never works.

That would seem useful. Just for shucks, try an up-caret ^ as the symbol. You never use that, right?

Maybe someone with more knowledge on dos and don'ts for revs can chime in here.

Hi,

Could be You haved turnedon the new ST9 option to automatically add the revision marker and index to the filename.

Turn this option off and it might work as wanted.

So unchecking "Automaticaly revise drawings that use the solected 3D document" turns the automatic revision naming off?

Or selecting the "None" turns it off?

Here is what help offers

@12GAGE, the radio button toggles between the selections......as in my image, I currently have ours set to "None".

Auto Append..., [or] Use Doc....  = ON

None = OFF
