Suppress instances in a rectangular pattern

Hi,

I'm trying to suppress the middle two rows of holes on this part.  I see the options for suppressing individual occurences and regions, but neither one is working for me.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I've attached a video:

That was great.  Thank you.  I had the right idea, but didn't do it in the right order.

Can I also trouble you to tell me how to suppress individual occurences?

Re: Suppress instances in a rectangular pattern

One more question, how do I undo the suppression?  I deleted the suppression box, but the holes that were suppressed are still suppressed.

Pattern workflows can be confusing I agree.

When you edit the sketch delete the exclusion box or at least one line of it. The pattern instances should turn green and be regened when you close the sketch.

Edit: Right click the pattern in the pathfinder, left click edit profile, delete a line in the exclusion box, click done.

Re: Suppress instances in a rectangular pattern

Thank you.  I don't know what's going on today on my computer.  I deleted the hole box and exited out of the pattern menu, but the holes were still suppressed.  I tried again after your respnose and as soon as I deleted a single line, the holes re-appeared.

Same thing with inidvidual suppressions.  Clicking on the green dots wasn't working, but now it is.

Thank you again.  You are always very helpful.Smiley Happy
