Here's a new video discussing the relationship with SPLM and MS. Great to see the company moving forward with newer devices, software and aiding in the design process.

I'm sceptical of the CPU, RAM and VID card power relative to a desktop.

Anything less than what I'm using now is unacceptable. 4.5Ghz, 32 gigs, K4200.

Well, we can't all be versed in the drag racing of workstations! ...4.5 Ghz!!! 32GB RAM...

This is a device for the "more" creative types...and you know what I mean by that. For a general CAD user maybe or an engineering doing analysis and simulation- nope. If you want to impress customers, definetly yes.

A new post from Simon Floyd, from Microsoft.......re: using Solid Edge on the Surface Studio. Seems pretty robust!

Microsoft staff here were not able to give any date for availability here in New Zealand. [Sounds a bit like Siemens & Catchbook - I'll have to travel overseas to get em'] Robot Sad
