Can anyone explain this behaviour? When I try to sweep a simple circle along this helix it seems to step it off one turn to the left instead of starting the sweep at the original X-section circle? Any ideas welcome. Thanks in advance.
here's a video (sorry I'm using an academic license so I cannot post the par file):
here's a picture...
on the first view I was not able to see any mistakes etc.
But for this geometry I simply would create a helix protrusion directly without creating the helix curve.
BTW do You have any maintenance pack installed onto ST10?
the mistake is that the surface starts to the left of the actual circle that is used for the cross section. This also means that the sweep does not go to whole extent of the helical sketch.
Hi there @FrankMill,
I'm guessing there is likely an issue with the profile/path relationship.
Is there a reason for using a swept surface?.......you could create this in one "Helix" feature.
