Symmetric Offset Dimension Not Shown

Using Symmetric Offset command to create slot from a line.  How do I get the slot width/radius/diameter dimension to show?  (In Sychronous mode.)  Mid-point of line is on origin and it shows as fully defined even though the slot width/radius/diameter dimension is not dimensioned.

Re: Symmetric Offset Dimension Not Shown

Probably because there are several options for the symmetric offset (end type etc), so the dimensions are driven by the offset properties.

Why not use the slot feature - the centre axis is locatable for placing axial alignments.

Re: Symmetric Offset Dimension Not Shown

I just tried the Slot command (Hole pull down menu).  It has the same issue, it doesn't show the width or radius of the slot in the part or drawing mode.  "Retrieve Dimensions" did not pull the width/radius into the drawing view.

Hi there @filipiakt,

In Synchronous, the sketch geometry is used primarily to place face[s], then it is expected the user will apply the required PMI dimensions to control those "resulting faces".

Re: Symmetric Offset Dimension Not Shown

It is the same for a slot as for the offset command - dimensions are driven by the properties as there are several options available, dimensions are not applied.

You could say the same for holes.
