Thin Wall

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I'm new here and i would like to seek for some help. Could anyone help me how to thin wall the attached file? I'm having problem doing such command, the error is "Unable to offset selected thin faces".

The area that should be open are the selected faces. And the thickness should be 0.8mm.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Thin Wall

Hi @SeanCresswell,

It's Solid Edge ST8, no MP installed.

Can you help me with the procedure? Maybe there's a problem with how I am doing it.

Thanks.

Re: Thin Wall

I have same procedure but still error occurs on the file I'm working on. "Thinwall failed. The faces contain a curvature which is smaller than the offset distance.". But I tried on the Stp file and it works fine.

Re: Thin Wall

Can you show a video - can record one right from within Solid Edge.
