Threads and exporting as STL

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi

I'm currently using solid edge to create .STL files fo rmy 3d printer. The only issue i am having at the moment is that threads do not appear on the STL file.

Is anyone else having trouble with this?

Thanks in advance

Threads created in SE using the thread command are only metadata and a view style mapping.  No physical threads are created in the 3D.

If you need to have the threads in your printed model you will need to create them physically by way of helical command.

It is not very complicated. Just search the help for Helical and I am sure you will come up with the help on how to do a helical cutout.
