Hello,

Just wondering how you handle your Titleblocks on drawings.

- Are the filled in (semi)automatically or without any intelligent

- Are they inserted from other applications (excell, ERP system,...)

ours are handled via Vb programs, populated automatically

We use property text to populate most of it from the drawing file.

we had good results with using "Call Outs" vs text boxes in title block areas

we create custom attirbutes using VB which populate the title block fields

I use "call outs" with property text, mainly pulled from the part or assembly being documented in the draft file.  This helps me stay consistent in how I fill in the properties of my models.  This works well for me, however i am not in a "managed enviroment" ie no insight or team center, as this would have a bearing on where the data for for your TB should be pulled from.

I use callout text with inex references to fill out the title, and part number.  I use a callout with a reference to the revision of the draft file.  They save a lot of time when generating detail drawings.
