I want to know if Solid Edge ST6 has the tool "Trace curve," like Pro/ENGINEER has, beacuse I have to send a project to a teacher of mine and he told me to use this feature. The mechanism I created is the Artobolevsk's mechanism to trace the Diocle's curve (as you can see here, if you have Wolfram CDF Player plugin installed in your computer) and I have to demonstrate the curve while the system is running. I created the whole project using Solid Edge ST6 due to its simple interface.
If, for some reason, SE ST6 doesn't have this feature, I was thinking about changing the files format, in order to open them with ProE. Do you have any objection to this idea? Do you think it will work?
Thank you for any help you can provide,

Solved! Go to Solution.
SE does not have this feature. Best you can do is plot points manually through a range of motion and then run a Keypoint Curve through them.
Yes, Ken is right, that SE has no got such feature like tc. But SE has a very good integration with Dynamic Designer Motion from DST. SE contains tha Basic package of the DDM, but you cannot do tc from it, so you need larger package Motion and Motion Pro what can do it.
If you are a student then you can download student version from DDM, I think! The guys at DST are very helpful (Scott Ziemba and Jeff Arrigotti) so I suggest to contact with them!
Here is a video, about how works it:
Thank you guys, you helped me a lot, both you lmics and Ken!
Unfortunately, the teacher to whom I had to send the project doesn't have DDM installed in his PC and he did't like the idea of plotting points manually, so I had to make do with another CAD program.
Thank you much for sharing this tool with the community!
Are you able to share the source code?
I'm interested in learing more and this is a great example...
wiht or without the source code, we greatly appreciate you sharing this!
