Unable to move an imported STL construction face

Esteemed Contributor

Hi Edgers,

I just have recognized, that with ST10 MP5 I'm not longer able to move/rotate a Surface_Mesh_Body using the steering wheel.

This was possible when we started with ST10, but I can't say when or with which MP it got impossible.

If the imported STL file builds a closed volume and it is handled as Design_Mesh_Body, then everything works fine.

PS.: You can move/rotate the steering wheel, and You see the changing values, but the geometry still keeps its position. Moving the mouse over that geometry afterwards, seems to show the edges of moved geometry, but shaded image still is a sbefore.

Strange behaviour.

Does anybody else see it too?

Wolfgang

Hi @Imics

thanks for giving that info.

But I had to stop reading immedeately after seeing "Solid Edge 2019" !!!

So You are lucky to have the opportunity of being a beta tester.

I think it is not good to compare a 2019 with a ST10

Assume that there will be differences/changes which can lead to a different result too.

Hi,

Sorry this was my mistake. The stl moving test was running in ST10 MP5, it worked well as I mentioned. The sysinfo.exe was running from SE2019 to show software environment...
