When I try to extrude a simple circle the program says it has to quit. Is this a video driver problem?

LC,

Could be a few different things going on there, one of which could indeed be the video performance &/or driver.

Something to try, would be reducing the Solid Edge display settings...from within an new part file, go to Application Button > Solid Edge Options > View tab, uncheck the "Automatic selection" and from the drop down menu, choose "Backing store".

I applied the change but got the same result.

Could you give details of your system specs? [Make & model, CPU/Hard drive type/RAM/Video card type]....this will hopefully help nail down the cause & possible sollution.

Hi there,

I see that the HD 6290 graphics actually lists as having no dedicated memory and relies on shared memory for any performance. [ http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6290.51810.0.html ]
So when running a graphics intensive application like Solid Edge on a Netbook such as the AO722, this is probably asking a bit much of it.
