Why won't the hole callout command display any information about the hole?

I am just trying to callout simple holes and counterbores.  When I select the specific hole that I want to callout nothing but %HC appears, or anything symbol that I enter manually.  In the callout properties the Hole Callout tab is completely blank.  I am using a template an engineer has already set up, and I realize in a new solid edge template there is actual formulas filled out in the hole callout tab.  Do I have a broken link to a template or something like that?  Sorry if someone has asked this before.  Thanks in advance Smiley Happy

Be advised...  you feature must be a true HOLE...  not a cut out for %HC to work.

if this is so... then yes, it appears that your template is not complete.  We now use %HC as the generic way of calling out a hole and this allows us to be more specfic on the feature callout tab...

check your feature call out tab to assure it is populated.

Quick check would also be to place your part in a standard template and test.

Thank you for the reply. The call out tab is definitely not populated. When I try to populate that list similar to what a blank Solid Edge template has, it doesn't save the input. I checked the Holes.txt file which is what I assume SE references for callouts, and it is set for that file in File Locations under SE options. There is also a Holes_old which I assume is from a previous version.

be advised that with Windows UAC you may not have write access to the C:\Programs folder...

Advised to turn off UAC or Install Solid Edge somewhere other than C;\Programs folder...
