could someone tell me how to install the PDF printer please as I need to export on this format

as a new user i wanted to export in a PDF format, but the option is not listed in the Options of the save as dialog

could you help please?

 

For info

when i open the save as/translation option, i am give the chice of

.dwg

.dgn

.dxf

.sev

incedently i am using windows 8.1 x64. is this an issue?

It should be there. look for Save As Translated --> Adobe...

It should be there. look for Save As Translated --> Adobe Acrobat Documents or Adobe Acrobat 3D Documents.

When i look in Saveas/translate the options i have are

.dgn

.dwg

.dxf

.sev

Incidentally i am running Windows 8.1 64bit [if that makes a difference]

So this is only from draft?,...or are you not seeing the Save As *PDF & *3D PDF in the model environments either?

Before we go digging around can you confirm one thing for me? Your original question says "export in PDF format". I would like to confirm that "export in" does NOT mean that you are looking to open a pdf in Solid Edge.
Also that you are using Windows 8.1 and not Windows 8?

Hi

Once again thank you for your reply.

My first answer regarding PDF is that I need to export pdf files from Solid
Edge.

The second answer is that I can confirm my operating system is Windows 8.1
and is the 64 bit version
