drawing setup files and config files?

Experimenter
Experimenter

I'm new to Solid Edge but I've been an admin with SolidWroks and Creo for 15 years. My question is are there drawing setup files, for drawing standards? I have 8 drafts and I want them to be reading one set of files when they open Solid Works. Library locations, drafting standards....Any help please...

@tjr, Your question's a little too vague for me to understand exactly what you mean. There are settable file locations for things like templates, materials, sheet metal gages, tolerance tables, holes database, etc. Drafting standards would be in dimension styles which in turn are transmitted via par, asm, dft templates. Do you mean stuff like that?

You might find these help topics interesting. Sorry for the data dump but I don't have time to get into details. Maybe reading these will generate some questions.

Basically though, SEAdmin.exe is a friendly interface to edit the options.xml file which in turn is set on the first line in the file locations tab of the SE Options. Useful for server based distribution of these settings to all users.
