dwg open failure

hello everyone
I need to convert a dwg drawing to 3d model. there is such possibility but first SE decided that this cannot be done with dwg, and after second try it decided that it won't open dwg at all. I tried to reinstall but it did not hepled me at all. please help...

OK, that opened up fine.....here's what I got.

Hi again,
Sorry, I should have explained that with my reply.
In Solid Edge, choose file open, changing the file type (drop down menu) to DWG.....the just browse to your file(s), and open. They should automatically be opened in the Draft environment....you can now copy/paste this geometry into a "sketch" in the Part environment to build your model from....placing the sketch elements on a suitable construction plane.

well... it doesn't want to cooperate. what should I choose not to get "file not exist" feedback? I tried draft, part, symbol and still the same, but had no problem openign the file You posted
