extend to a line through a set of other lines

Hi,

When you extend to next on a line in a sketch, you can pick the line, and it goes to the next object.  When you want to extend a line to an object such that the line passes through other entities,  you need to press the control key, select the two objects, but then a pick on the line you want to extend does not work.  I think I have done this in the past, but can not get it to work now.

Thank you if you could help with what is wrong with my workflow.

Re: extend to a line through a set of other lines

Hi,

If I remember well:
Select Extend command press down Ctrl and click on the "goal" line (after this don't use Ctrl) and click on the source line... It should be working!

Yes,  That did work.

I had started with the crtl key held down,  selected both the line to extend and the goal line.  This worked but you need to drag through the extend line to make it extend,  can not use pick.

Thank you

Another way is to select the goal line, then select the extend command and pick the line to extend.
