I am moving from ST8 to ST9 and i wanted to keep my settings. Is there a way to import the ST8 setting to ST9 for the ribbon?

You should be able to use the settings and preferences wizard for saving and restoring.

I tried that but ST 9 does not seem to reaconize the ST 8 setting after moving them over.

How about saving from your appdata folder C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 10n\Customization\ and copying them into the new appdata folder?

The problem is that they keep updating minor things that included in the ST updated menu's.

In my case, I only need a few custom buttons for every file type. All of the properties of some kind so that I don't need to use the application button.
