I have a simple step file from pc-dmis with a plane, some lines and a bunch of points. I import the file and see the plane and lines but not the points...? Is there a trick to see the points? I tried importing into a part file and also into an assembly...

thanks

If you can find a way to get the points into Excel you could use Curve by Table command.

There is a line segment option that will give you a locatable vertex at each point location.

I would like to see the file.

As both IGES and STEP are text files, it would fairly easy to parse the data and extract all point data into a .csv file for use by Excel, which in turn could then be pushed into Solid Edge.

If you could provide your sample file for review.

Thank you and regards,
