inter-part copy not allowed when common assembly contains family members

Hello All,

I have an assembly that is not allowing inter-part copy of surfaces "when common assembly contains family members". Which I guess makes sense in that if there are mulitple orientations of the assembly - how does it know which to use?

While not 100% sure what family member means, I have removed all the alternative members of the assmebly, so that now there is only 1 member (1 assembly arrangement?). Is there a way to change the assembly back to having no family members?

I have some complex surfaces that need copied between parts and I am not sure best way to do this without inter-part copy.

Thanks in advance for your wisdom,

/calvin

@debris  Once an assembly is made an Alternate Assembly, it cannot be undone.  The workaround is to use the Save Member As command on the Alternate Assembly pane or table to save the specified member as a non-alternate assembly.
