Re: licence

Stef,
What version of Solid Edge 2D Drafting are you running? If you are runing
V19, the original license has expired. You can go to the free2d web site and
get a free updated license. You can download a zip file that has the license
and instructions.
If you installed V20, you should not have to worry about the license. The
installation of V20 will put the license in place for you. Do not try to
specify a license during installation.
Regards,
Rick B.

Go to the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Solid Edge 2D Drafting V20\Program
There should be a file there named 'SELicense.dat'.
Do you see a file with that name?

Re: licence

Stef,
I am sorry you are having trouble getting the software to run. I am confused
as to why you are seeing this problem. When you install V20 you do not have
to manually install the license. Simply installing the software should be
enough.
Please try the following.
Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Solid Edge 2D Drafting V20.
Go to the 'C:\Program Files' folder and delete the 'Solid Edge 2D Drafting
V20' folder. Please be careful that you do not delete the wrong folder.
If you still have the downloaded installation executable (SE2DDraftV20.exe),
double click on it to run it. This is the executable to install the
software. This is not the application itself.
If you do not have the executable, return to the free2d web site and
download it again. There is no problem with registering again to get the
executable.
When you run the executable, make sure you allow the executable to install
any additional software that it prompts for.
Once it is installed, you do not have to do anything else. The license
installed with the software is good and the software should run.
You should see 'Solid Edge 2D Drafting' in your start menu.
Regards,
Rick B.
