open file as read-only with using search option

Hi

I want to open a file read-only in all levels with using searching option.

but where I can set that option read-only.

when you do open (Ctr-O) there is an option {{open as read-only-All levels}} but does not run when you click on search bottom in right left-side.

Thanks

Hi @RaminSanakhan

to be honest, I never ever recognized this option line!

And Yes, oc course, I had no need for that too.

But to answer Your question, Yes it seems, that this option only is avaialable in standard OPen File Dialog, but not from the Search

But, from ST9 and now ST10 You also can use the Windows Search field (upper right) if You have indexed data in use (Build In Data Management) this will allow You a search/find of files same as the Solid Edge dialog, but with that option too!

Wolfgang

@RaminSanakhanOnly way I know is set that option on the Open form and then click the Set as Default button.  Obviously now everything opens that way by default.

On another note, depending on search criteria you do not need to use the search button but can instead use the search field in the upper right of the Open form which will honor the setting.
