page index?

I would like to add an automated page index or add page information to the BOM.

The goal is to allow people to find the page of the drawing they need quickly without flipping though 30 pages.

Is there any built in functionality that would allow this to be automatically updated as changes are made (Like deleting a page)?

I'd also be interested in any solutions or workarounds people use for this.

Even a table index that lists the sheets as you've named the drawing tabs...is this possible already?

I do this currently, with some of our clients documentation, using page directed hyperlinks in Microsoft Publisher.

I'd sorely love to be able to do this within Solid Edge draft's.

If you access the properties of a drawing field there is a place for a description. But there is no property to access that description in a the Caption or anywhere else. It seems like this would be a good thing to add to a Table of Contents.

I guess no one has a good solution to this!

There is a table of contents? Or are you refering to the bill of materials?

I'm not filing an ER for this, I have about 20 things much more important to get ER's done for. I was just wondering if there was something already.

I don't know of any table of contents function. Maybe someone has written a macro for it that you could modify to your needs.
