It would be nice to add a new item on context menu in par/asm environment, to open the draft of a certain par/psm/asm file directly from 3d, without the need to browse the file system or go to the data management/where used tab.
I guess it could not very difficult to hide in this command the "where used" function, if the fast search is enabled.

I focussed only on the context menu part or your question, hence suggested using the radial menu.
I have little or no knowledge about the Where Used and Open Drawing commands from the Data Management tab.
To answer your question in a bit 'off topic' sense, I meant using the 'Open Draft Macro' from a radial menu slot.
This function already is here with ST10 and setup of BiDM.
You will find it under the Data management tab on the left.
This button will let You directly open the according draft or -if there are more than one - show You a list to select from.
Ok, after the setup of the vault, now the button works!
Thank you very much for suggestion!
I believe that two things needs to be defined correctly:
The entries in the FastSearch.txt which defines the folders for search n for drafts and the setup for Windows index services which will deliver faster results.
