In that case, you should absolutely download the latest version ST10 Student Edition, as it will more than likely overcome any Windows updates, that may be at play here.
Then you might get all the students to start using it also, that way, the new groundswell from them might help getting it added to your school.
I applaud your preference for Solid Edge.....and it is free to have in schools, so maybe one of the Siemens folk can help.
