switching assembly to dft & drawing views - ST8. Connection to Teamcenter

Hello,

We are now using ST8. We have passed form ST3. Quite a jump.

Until now we are facing the next issues, and maybe someone can help :

1. After working on an assembly file, the switch to the dft takes some time... even if the draft it is already open.  Making also an up-date takes a lot of time, comparing with ST3.

2. Placing and editing views on a draft also takes some much more time comparing with ST3.

3. Also, after opening the ST8, when connecting to Teamcenter... it takes a LOT of time....

And the last issue... managing a medium to big assembly it takes between ...5 to 7 Gb of RAM....for me it seems a lot of resources....

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Firstly based on your configuration in your signature, you may be out of date on software.

If you are on ST8 and TC 10, then you need to be on ST8 MP11 and TC 10.1.4.2 minimum (higher TC versions depending on if you are running AW).

Furthermore, ST8 is now almost end of life and TC 10.1 was end of life November 2016.

Also, are you running 64-bit TC client?

Solid Edge version: ST8 MP11 & Temacenter  TC 10.1.6.1

64 bit client.

Did anything else change or was upgraded during your upgrade?

As far as I know....no. If I'm not wrong it's been an up-date to the video graphic driver.
