Understanding the functional behavior of a CAD design, before physical testing, saves design time and prototyping cost and gets products to market faster. Being able to predict and understand the performance of a design by knowing characteristics such as displacement, velocity, acceleration and force, before the first prototype is built, not only reduces the number of prototypes, but also production cost, time to market and warranty cost. In this session we will demonstrate how to prepare, simulate and analyze Solid Edge assemblies for dynamic motion performance and also how the forces calculated from the motion simulation can be transferred directly to Solid Edge Simulation, as boundary condition inputs for a structural FEA.
