Cory Goulden, Application Specialist, designfusion
This session will teach you best practices with administering Solid Edge. Topics will include: successfully using the SEAdmin tool, menu customization, and how to transfer settings to new versions. We'll cover setting up company-based themes, customizations, templates, dimension style mapping, and more. This presentation will also cover the use of a new "preference folder" in Solid Edge ST6 that will store data files such as holes.txt, pipeclass.txt, translator .ini files, and templates, that will give users edit control and avoid conflicts with Windows UAC settings. Skill level required is intermediate, and attendees will be shown live demonstrations. If you are a CAD Administrator or are responsible for installing Solid Edge and modifying templates or definition files, this is a must attend session.
