Commands Slow via Video

N/A
I Just had my computer checked... over the weekend checked out fine, I also checked my internet provider came out fine as well. I made a video to show how slow. The circle command took a little over 3 Min. to do 6 circles.

Hi Crousie,
That sure doesn't look right....I placed a series of circles like what you have shown, in a matter of seconds.
To better understand what might be the cause of the issue....can you please list your computer specs?
Such as: CPU speed / RAM type / HDD type / Graphics type

Hi Crousie,
You might try a free application called SPECCY to gather system information like this.

This is what I get....

Hi Crousie,
Well my first thought is that the onboard graphics is not really up to the task....but we are not talking about a very intensive task here.
Have you tried doing a complete shut-down and restart to clear any memory glutter that the system may be hanging onto?

Hi Sean,
Shut down didn't do the trick. So, what brand of and possible specks for a graphics card for Solid Edge and or would I have to upgrade from W7 Home Premium?
Thanks
Crousie

Hi Crousie,
Well given that you're using a laptop, upgrades of this nature are basically impossible....seing as it's not simply a replacement of existing hardware, as it isn't there.
Although it certainly shouldn't have stopped you in this case.....but computers with "dedicated" graphics is almost a must for all resource demanding applications, the likes of Solid Edge. There is a definite trend, based on driver stability, towards using nVidia based cards, but ATI units work well also...just requires matching it to the right driver, which can sometimes be an older one.
Am at a bit of a loss as to the actual root cause of your issue....hopefully someone from developement is lurking with a clue to nailing this for you.
