I went to get this computer to remove a virus. Getting it removed... Solid Edge is slower than ever. Is there a special computer tech trained to work with this type of drafting programs, tools ect. Ex, Within 1 hr. Must shut down no memory. Also, there isn't a redo arrow. Thoughts.
I have yet to discover anyone who has ever gotten a virus on their computer from a Solid Edge file or application (one of the reasons you can't record custom macros.) For that reason, most users exempt the Solid Edge file types and the edge.exe process from antivirus scanning. This improves Solid Edge performance. Otherwise, you will have to give us some hardware specs to see if you have a computer tweaked for Solid Edge performance. --Scott Wertel Phoenix Area Edger On 5/1/2013 5:59 AM, Crouse@Concept-Dwgs.com wrote: > I went to get this computer to remove a virus. After this computer came back, the screen been acting strangely, lines go straight through move the mouse returns to doc, redo button does not light. After an hour or so... I must close Solid Edge for lack of memory. Commands are slow, Yes, to answer your question... It was to go in for a virus to be removed for being slow, now I have to deal with this!! Yea Is this computer compatible for Solid Edge?
A repair can be done from the add/remove programs form. You might be able to add more RAM to avoid the memory message, but the version of SE you have is 32 bit thus it is limited to 4GB of virtual address space so you may keep running into the issue. Sent from my Motorola Electrify using Tapatalk 2
