Creating a Cavity in a Part

2 Questions: What is required to create a cavity in a part Also, I've been holding down the shift, ctrl key to move rotate ect. Is there a shortcut to hold down these keys and locking? Moving these part a warning pops up (Cannot move both Ordered and Synchronous Parts) This is why the holding down shift, ctrl.

Explain in more detail your cavity...

you can cut a cavity into the part, revolve the profile creating the exterior and cavity at the same time, you can boolean subtract constructions to creat a cavity...
More detail is needed here.

Sorry for the delay for your question. This is a short video on what I started, the extruded piece of the part I would like to create a cavity... not the whole piece. The outer incomplete unopened part is used at a later step. I checked the help on Poolean operation was inconclusive to me.

I assume you are asking how to have the "promt bar" at the top of the display?

your prompt bar by default is at the bottom of the graphic window.

I recomend user drag it to the top for better awareness.

simply click on it and drag it up, when the docking arrows show drop over the main arrow up...

My Bad, I should of been more clear! with the video you sent about the thin wall... I have that done and I want to put a top on the thin wall and can not find a step for that. I looked in Ordered nothing.

Top as in "LID" a seperate part or top as in a compleatly closed body with the hollow inside?
